Voice, ‘Ukulele, Piano, Guitar, Songwriting, Children’s Music

Liz has been a teaching artist at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, IL since 2015, teaching ‘ukulele, voice, piano, guitar and songwriting in private and group settings. She has also led Wiggleworms, Outreach Programs, and Summer Camps from pre-school to teen.

Liz has also taught with NYC’s Midori & Friends, Little Chopins, and City Strings, as well as Chicago Children’s Theatre, Youth Guidance, Sherwood Music School, and in her own private studio both in person and online.

Teaching ages 4-84, Liz’s classrooms are calm but playful, and encourage new friendships. While everyone learns at a different pace and has different strengths, Liz believes we can call find a way to play together.

She is proud graduate of the School of Music at James Madison University.


CAFÉ CON PAN (Family Music Project)

CAFÉ CON PAN is a family music duo formed by musicians Nilko Andreas and Liz Chidester. Performing fun party songs in both English and Spanish, they can enliven and enrich any family event!
